The right care can be right there but you need the knowledge and contacts to find it. Refuah Care will liaise with their network of GPs, consultants and specialists to find patients the best possible care, often medical professional. We work as much as possible with the NHS. However, where private services or a second opinion are warranted by the circumstances, or a patient particularly wishes to access private care, Refuah Care can advise where to go and arrange these referrals too.Advocacy
The average person doesn’t have an extensive knowledge of medical conditions and treatments and aren’t familiar with medical terms. Even if individuals are aware of the questions to ask, they may still struggle to comprehend the answers or feel hesitant to ask for clarification. Moreover, if they are dealing with illness, they may be in a vulnerable state that makes it difficult for them to advocate for themselves effectively. With their background knowledge of health conditions and medical jargon, the Refuah Care team can liaise between doctor and patient, raising patient concerns with doctors or explaining treatment plans to patients.

Guidance
While Refuah Care will not give medical advice, they can provide the information necessary for patients and their families to make decisions. Drawing on their knowledge of medical conditions and the healthcare system, Refuah Care can explain the implications of different treatment options and advise on how to access them. Refuah Care also works with other organisations that provide support services. If there is another service available that a patient or their family could benefit from, Refuah Care will signpost them or even make contact on their behalf.Medical Research
Medical advances and discoveries are constantly happening. Conditions that used to be untreatable might now have treatment possibilities, so it’s vital to keep up to date on these advances. Refuah Care keeps abreast of developments in the medical field, carrying out extensive research. By following studies and clinical trials relating to myriad medical conditions, we are up to date in our knowledge of treatment options both within the UK and overseas, including experimental treatments.

Crisis Management
When someone doesn’t know where to turn in times of medical crisis, they can turn to Refuah Care. Our experienced and knowledgeable team will take on immediate responsibility for anything relating to healthcare. Seeking advice, liaising with medical professionals, providing information and guidance, making referrals, helping with decision making, booking appointments, attending consultations and meetings, and facilitating support for family members – it can all be left safely in our hands, reducing the stress and worry for patients and family.Medical Transfers
A patient’s needs can change while they are in hospital, and sometimes the new need can’t be ideally met in that hospital. If a patient is already hospitalised but would be better served in a different hospital, Refuah Care can identify the right alternative facility and make all the arrangements for them to be moved to a different hospital. We even provide hospital-to-hospital transfer if necessary.

Education & Awareness
Our medical organization leverages its expertise in the local community to provide tailored health education programs that address specific needs and concerns. We organize awareness events that cover a range of relevant topics, providing information that is relevant, accessible, and impactful. For many individuals, our programs are the only source of health education available, making them an essential resource for improving health outcomes and promoting wellness in the community. We take pride in our ability to make a real difference in people's lives by providing accessible and effective health education services.Case Workers
In serious cases, Refuah Care will allocate a case worker to a patient and their family. The case worker is there on hand to support them through every step of their journey, from diagnosis through treatment, including attending appointments, meetings and arranging support for the family. Inpatient or outpatient care, the case worker is there to signpost, inform, explain, advocate and provide practical assistance with everything related to the healthcare system.
